I have some shared folders on my desktop mapped as
network drives on my laptop. The problem is that
whenever I boot up my laptop and I am either out of range
of the router (I'm at a friend's house, or whatever) or
my desktop is turned off, I get a pop-up bubble telling
me that it was "Unable to Connect Network Drive" I know
that I can turn off all pop-up bubbles with TweakUI or a
registry setting, but I was hoping for a less-sweeping
measure. Is there anyway to just diable this one
particular pop-up bubble?

It may help to disable the auto-search feature for network drives in
the Explorer > Tools > Folder Options > View.
