(it is from Steve Dodson [MSFT])
Andre,
Can you try this?
1) Uninstall WD thru Add and Remove Programs
2) Launch cmd prompt
3) MsiExec.exe /x {A5CC2A09-E9D3-49EC-923D-03874BBD4C2C}
4) Delete all contents of Directory of C:\Documents and
Settings\All
Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows Defender\Definition Updates
5) Reinstall WD
Let me know if that works for you.

Hi.
I have the Windows Xp Home on my Toshiba Laptop (German language).
I installed the Windows Defender beta 2 yesterday. I´ve never used
this
software before.
So, as I try to update it, I get the following error message:
"Windows Defender was unable to complete the update: 0x80240022. Im
Laufwerk
befindet sich eine falsche Diskette. Legen Sie %2
(Datenträgernummer: %3) in
Laufwerk %1 ein."
The message is exactly that: half in german and half in english.
I´d appreciate any help.
Thanks,
