D DVarnau Dec 13, 2003 #2 Pat, There's a good possibility that this is being caused by a third-party program (adware, spyware, parasite) Download, install, *update* and run these two programs: Ad-aware from http://www.lavasoft.de/software/adaware/ Spybot from http://security.kolla.de/ Additional information at: Dealing with Unwanted Spyware and Parasites: http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm BHOs and Spyware http://www.generation.net/~hleboeuf/spyware.htm#BHOCOP Bugs, Glitches & Stuffups: http://www.mvps.org/inetexplorer/Darnit.htm Search for common parasites at http://www.doxdesk.com/parasite/ If not caused by malware, consider disabling (for diagnostic purposes) legitimate programs running in the background which might be interacting with IE- security, antivirus, etc. You may have to uninstall then reinstall a program.
