Unable to close ie6 web pages

I've got a problem where some web windows will not close
but can be minimised. They can be closed from the task
manager but this closes all other windows as well. Also
i'm getting a invalid page fault MSVBVM60.dll any help
would be apprceiated. Thanks in advance.
 
I had the same problem and it was adware that was causing
it. Get Search & Destroy to remove the adware. Be sure to
update S&D after first run and then run it again.

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each need to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded.

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.
