unable to clear unwanted urls in IE6.0 address bar

I've a string of garbled urls appearing in my address bar, which I have not visited before. They stubbornly stayed there despite my numerous attempts trying to clear them by deleting my temp files, history and cache.

I'm using Windows XP Home edition.

Is there another way to eliminate them? Thanks in advance for your advice.

Hi LC,

Deleting the History folder and Index.dat should solve the problem.
