Unable to change printer settings

I'm new to Win2K, and as Administrator I should be able to
change such things as a Printer Driver but when I try to
do so I get a message to the effect that "Printer Settings
changes can not be saved." I've tried several different
things, all with the same results.

Is there a way around this problem?

What exactly are you trying to do?

I want to change to a different driver and set the amount
of memory correctly.

One of my network Postscript printers is difficult to work
with at times, especially when using Microsoft apps.
Changing drivers has helped in the past.

When I make the changes I get a message that the printer
setting changes cannot be saved.

FWIW, it seems to me that this means the system can't find
the driver, and therefore cannot save the link to it; IOWE,
the driver is missing. Or else you are trying to create a
mismatch - Printer Brand X cannot use a driver for Printer
Brand Y, but you are trying to make it do so.

Also, some printer settings are better set from _within_
the application. That's an avenue you should explore.

"...has helped in the past" suggests that changes have been
made to your system. These too can cause printer problems.
If you detail the changes, it's likely someone can offer
suggestions.

That's as far as I can go. Sorry, and HTH
