Revision... noone seems to understand my dilemma. I want to capture analog
video, edit it, then import and attach background music to finished video.
How do I capture analog video using WMM? I have internal capture device.

Seems that since you have used the Click to DVD program before, and
apparently have access to a VHS, why not record the 8mm to VHS using your
"shadow box" and then record from VHS to the computer capture card using
Click to DVD? Then open the recorded video in WMM (edit) and then add your
sound files? Quality of the video will probably suffer, but if you must use
the capture device, you may have to accept what you can get. An inexpensive
USB capture device like Pinnacle USB Moviebox may be a good choice.
Tigerdirect.com has a refurb unit (fully warranted item) for $49.99 that
includes a fuill version of Studio 9. My brother and I both have and use it
with perfect results. Others will also work for you, I am sure
