When trying to manage computers from server upgraded from
NT 4.0 to 2k SP3 I get the following error:
Cannot display objects from this location because of the
following error: 0x80040e37.

I get the same error if I try to add a user account from
to this server.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

More info would be helpful...

Was this server a domain controller in an NT4 domain or a
member server in a workgroup? When you say "manage
computers", what are you referring to - computer accounts?

.

This machine was upgraded from NT 4.0 to Windows 2K but
was not a domain controller. It has always been on the
domain not in a workgroup.

When I say Manage Computers: If I right click on my
computer and click on Manage as if to view the services of
another computer in the Domain.

Or just trying to add a Domain user account to this
machine in the Admin tools.

Okay, this is a member server in a Windows 2000 Active
Directory domain, correct? Are you a member of the local
Administrators group on this server? Under My Computer |
Properties | Computer Name, does the machine indicate that
it is a member of the domain? In Active Directory, is
there a computer account for this machine? Are you able
to browse your network and access shares?

CM.
