unable to boot

dummy here needs help.. i installed and ran a virus scan and found about 50 corrupted files, deleted them all and now a can not start my windows 2000 professional. it starts with loading personal settings, then saving personal settings then applying personal settings...then it just loops to the same thing over and over. any help will be appreciated.

Hi Cooper,

No answer, but you're not alone. I just had the exact same
thing happen after I tried running an update from the
Microsoft site. Boots to the password screen, I enter it
and it starts to load personal settings and pops right
back to the password screen.

HELP!
