Unable to add records

Ok...I know this may be kind of vague but anyone have any ideas as to why all
of a sudden a database would not add records anymore?
 
well, that *is* pretty vague, neighbor. are you unable to add a record to
one specific table, or all tables? where are you trying to add the record -
in a form? using an Append query? directly in the table? is this a single-
or multi-user database? if multi-user, are all users experiencing the same
problem? all the time, that is, *never* able to add a record, or sometimes
yes and sometimes no? and what happens when you make the attempt - do you
get an error message? if so, exactly what does it say?

Lol....Hi Tina and thank you for your response. Sorry for not including more
info. Thought about that after I had already sent. Anyway, I am attempting to
add a record using a form. I have severeal fields withing the form that
connect to various tables. One of the tables is linked to another db. this
has been working fine and all of a sudden it stopped. Everything apprears to
be normal and correct but obviously not. It is a multi-user db and everyone
is having the same problem. There are no errors at all. When entering info
everything takes but when atempting to locate the record it is nowhere to be
found. even if I go directly to the table. I am to be stumped!

hmm, okay. i'm trying to picture a form with different fields (controls?)
connected to different tables. what's the RecordSource of the form, is it
the linked table you mentioned? i've often found that, when data seems to be
writing to a linked table but when you open the linked table within it's
"home" database the data is not there, it's because the link is pointing to
different copy of the other database. have you tried opening the linked
table in Design view and examining the link filepath in the table
Properties?
