Dns configuration would be the first thing to check. Make sure the domain
controller has a static IP address and it points to iself only as it's
preferred dns server in tcp/ip properties. All domain computers and those
you wish to join to the domain must point to the domain controller only as
their preferred dns server. Dcdiag for domain controllers and netdiag for
all computers can be very helpful in troubleshooting such issues. These
tools are on the install cd in the tools/support folder where you will need
