Summary: The problem is I can't see or attached to the
other PCs on the LAN. Furthermore I can't PING any PC
from one of the other PCs (a PC canonly PING itself and
the router, all other connections time out).
Detail: I have 3 XP PCs connected in a LAN/WLAN (one is a
laptop usually connected wirelessly with WEP-128) through
a Linksys 4-Port/WAP router (BEFW11S4) which is sharing a
Comcast Cable connection. I have run the Home/Office
networking wizard on all of them (all have different
computer names and all share the same workgroup name)
using the "Residential Gateway" connection. All PCs can
connect to the router and on to the internet
(accordingly, the router acknowledges all devices in the
DHCP table). All the H/W is therefore working properly.
So what is the problem? The wizard and help in some
places implies that I need to run the wizard on one PC
and then create a disc to run on the others (but it also
implies that since they are all XP, you just run the
wizard from within each machine's OS).
