unable to access shares

Dear Sir...

Not able access shares through..START--->RUN--
\\machinename.

none of the shared folders are visilble.

but it is accessable if i double click on MY NETWORK
PLACES icon on desktop-->then select the DOMAIN--> then
select that particular machine under the domain. then the
shared folders are visible.

After this is done..now if i access through START-->RUN--
\\machine name.. shared files are visible..

pls suggest what is to be done..
Machine is running on Win2k Professional with SP3.

try mapping using \\machine.domainname....OR
are the shares shared or shared in admin mode($)?
 
Hi,

The folders not shared with $ rights. IT will be either
REARD or FULL rigths.
