Unable to access share folder

S

Saif Khan

Hi,
When I create a share folder on my win2k adv server I am
unable to access it from any machine on the network
including the domain controller. I give myself full
permission on the folder. I get the foll message "Account
is Not Authorized to Log In to This Station". Any ideas.

Thanks.

Sounds as if either some security templates or security settings applied to
this server that got the smb signing requirements out of wack with the rest
of the domain (ie, one requiring digitally signed and the other not)
Look at the following settings on that server vs the rest and see if they
are out of sync;
Windows 2000 -- LOCAL COMPUTER POLICY (On a non-Domain Controller
machine)
--> Computer Configuration / Windows Settings / Security Settings / Local
Policies / Security Options:

Server:
Digitally sign server communication (always)
Digitally sign server communication (when possible)
