Hi,
I am having a Compaq Server running Windows 2000 Server
with Service Pack 3. On a restart of the server, the
network access from this machine is fine. I am able to
access shares on other machines. However, after sometime I
am unable to access the network share from this machine.
The network shows as still connected. Even ping does not
get me replies. However, if I disable the network
connection adn re-enable it, it begins to work function
correctly again, again for sometime only.
Also, if I replace the only hard disk of the above machine
with another hard disk running Win NT Server 4.0, there
are no issues with the network access. (the point I am
trying to make is the Network card is fine).
I have tried updating the driver for the network card with
the latest drivers from the compaq site. Still no luck.
The card is a "Netelligent 10/100TX PCI Embedded UTP/AUI
Controller" .
I have also re-installed TCP/IP, with no luck.
There is no problem on the network as I am able to work
from other machines well.
Will be thankful for help in this regard.
Regards,
Praveen.
