I recently installed a 2nd hd from another pc. users needed pw to logon.
both machines running win xp home. Now I am unable to access the folders that
are on this 2nd hd. Anyone have ideas on how I can open these folders?
Steve

Make sure the jumper pins on the hd(s) are set properly with other device on
the IDE cable if others exist. If all is correct,go to run, type:diskmgmt.msc
In
msc,L.click on the device,go to actions,all,select,make active..

What happens when you try? If you get error messages, please quote the
exact text.

If you get an error message about being denied access, you need to take
ownership of the files.

If this is not your issue, post back with a full description of what you
did and what is happening. Remember that we can't see your computer
