Unable to access file

After reinstalling windows XP due to virus problem, i am
not able to access my old user file. I get access denied

Due we have any way to access those files?

Open Help and Support and enter "ownership" into the Search box. Once you
claim ownership from the "abandoned" files left from the old install, you
will have access to them again.
