This is an odd one, I am unable to access any adobe website, I can do so with
an XP machine, but vista just stalls - odd - any one have any ideas

Check www.adobe.com or alternatively any local sites

If it's any use to you - neither can I!

Try to ping and do traceroute to adobe address. There you can see wether its
networking problem in os side or is it some weird routing which has Vista
involved.

I had this problem when the firewall was engaged on my router. Many people
have had problems with routers that have stateful packet inspection. In my
case, turning off SPI wasn't enough; when I turned off the firewall,
everything worked great, including accessing Adobe.

I can log onto the Adobe website including their file library. However I
cannot utilize the program internal utility Adobe Updater in PS CS2 and
Bridge.

Yesterday a search of the Adobe Support Forum provided the answer. Adobe
Updater utilizes the browser and expects IE6, not beta IE7. Similiar to
online banking. Even the IE7 to IE6 spoof I use to access Wells Fargo's
online banking won't fool Adobe Updater.
