I have a XP/IE6 user who can access the internet with the exception of one
webpage which others have no problem doing. I have cleared cache, temp files,
cleared history. I have checked to see if the website is noted in the hosts
file. I have run Internet Explorer repair utilities. I still get the page
cannot be displayed. i installed Firefox and it immediately connected. Any
suggestions?

Thank you for your consideration!

Four things to try:

1. Delete the TIF and History *folders* completely (to get their respective
index.dat files):
http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/delcache.htm

2. Check the Cookies folder of the user's profile and delete any cookies
that relate to the
sites in question.

3. Check your Hosts file as per this article:
Problems Using Internet Explorer with Incorrect Hosts File
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;q219843

More info on the Hosts file:

4. Got to a Command prompt (Start...Programs...Accessories) and type in:

ipconfig /flushdns

Hit Enter.
