Hi all

2000pro SP4/XP Pro SP2 machines in Win2K SP4 Domain

Attempt to Browse the following the following path:

My Network Places – Entire Network - <Domain>

Error: “<Domain> is not accessible. You might not have permission to use
this network resource. Contact the Admin………………â€

This is intermittent and I can always type in \\<domaincontrollername>\D$
and the resource open just fine. Likewise the listed items in My Network
Places will still open just fine.
It stops you from browsing as well as some applications stop functioning
when needing to access network resources.
Reboot fixes sometimes. Logoff/logon fixes sometimes. Releasing and renewing
IP fixes sometimes.
TIA for any help on a more permanent resolution.

Thanks Robert. It appears all of the machines have the computer browser
service running on there machines. I will begin disabling them to see if that
helps. I am assuming @ least 1 or 2 should be running in addtion to the DC?
Thanks again!!

No, you don't need to stop computer browser service on all computer. Use the browstat to check the status of the computer browser.
