Un-Minimizing Outlook

Some kind soul in this ng or in xp.general advised how to tweak something so
that Outlook, when opened, appeared in the system tray. I have since grown
to dislike this for irrelevant reasons but, of course, made no notation of
what I did in the first place so cannot undo it. As it stands, a shortcut to
Outlook is on my quick launch and after launched, the program gets added to
the system tray. I have checked the target on the Quick Launch program but
it just points to the Outlook exe file so the tweak exists elsewhere. Can
anybody help me? Promise I will write it down <grin>

How to minimize/unminimize Outlook 2002 to the tray (not Outlook Express)

Start regedit.exe and navigate to the following key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER Software Microsoft Office 10.0 Outlook Preferences
Data Type: REG_DWORD
Value Name: MinToTray

The default is "0", so changing to a value of "1" enables minimizing to
tray.
Data: 1 (0 to disable MinToTray)

Note you can save the registry key first by:
On the File menu, click Export.
In the File name box, type SaveKey, and then click Save.
Or create a system restore point prior to editing.
Note: If the registry key is not there, you can simply create one by going
edit > new.

Thank you very much! Have copied this to my "technical tips" folder so have
kept my promise to write it down!
