I have a friend that has a home network (2 computers I think) and the
network has somehow corrupted where he can't access between the two on
the network.

He wants to totally uninstall the network so that when he tries to
reinstallthe network that WinXP will look at it as a NEW installation.

He said that he's reformatted before to get around this but doesn't
want to do that again.

Obviously networking isn't my bag .. heh .. but I told him I would
ask.

Go to Device Manager and un-install the network adapters, which will
also delete the network connections that they use. On reboot, XP will
re-install the network adapters and re-create the network connections.
