I have been having problems lately getting on the internet and I believe my
best bet at this point would be to un-install and re-install IE6. How can I
do this ?

Run... (e.g. press Win-R and enter:) msinfo32 /category IESummary

Then press Tab, Ctrl-a, Ctrl-c and you will be able to paste
the results into a reply.

With that OS and level you can't do that. IE is a component of the OS now.

You might be able to get some of the same effect by installing the
latest cumulative update for Internet Explorer (e.g. go to Windows Update
and let it do that for you.)
