Hello
I want to migrate profiles of a Windows 2000 Terminal Server. This server
has 400 profiles. Is it posible to use USMT to migrate more than 100 users?
How?

thank you very much

Have you considered changing them to roaming profiles, so bringing another TS
online will automatically use the network based profiles?

This requires creating a share to hold the profiles, creating a directory
for each user, updating the profile location in the user's account
(preferably bu script) and having each user logon/off once.

Hello,

Good to hear from you.

According to your post, I understand that you want to migrate profiles of a
win2k Terminal Server. As far as I know, the profiles are roaming profiles
stored in a certain location. Where do you want to migrate them? To another
server in the same domain, or to another domain?

I believe USMT is not suitable in this case. Based on my experience, if you
want to migrate the profiles to another server, you can just change the
path and let the clients to access their roaming profiles there. If you
want to migrate to another domain, it is best to use ADMT since the
migration of profiles to another domain will concern SIDs.

Regarding USMT, the tool migrates user files and settings during large
deployments of Windows 2000 or Microsoft Windows XP. It can migrate more
than 100 users.

I think the following information will be helpful to you.
