UMAX Astra 4600 scanner

Hi

Anyone out there had any joy installing a UMAX Astra 4600 Scanner on Vista? Using the old driver, the scanner control panel does not detect any of the many image editing programs I have. Have checked for new drivers. The UMAX site seems to be pretending Vista does not exist (and quite frankly, I don't blame them!)

Any help or links to Vista drivers for this scanner would be much appreciated!

But i must remind that when AstraUmax says VistaScan Astra 4600 in its installation menu, apparently it does NOT mean Vista as in Windows Vista. I found out about that after painfully trying to install the scanner
