Ultra-Maximized browser window

Greetings all,

Occasionally I will come across a website that will open up a window that
covers the entire screen. There is no obvious way that I can see to close
the window because it covers over the bars at the top and bottom of the
screen and there are no scroll bars on the sides. I have been closing these
windows by either ending IE in task manager or Alt+f4, but both of these
actions close all open instances of IE.
Is there a way to close these sites individually without having to close all
open browser windows? Or, better yet , a setting I can use that will prevent
the maximinized windows?

I can link to the site in question if you need to see an example. TIA

Thanks for responding to my query.
I cannot click anything in the task bar because it is covered entirely by
the window in question, as stated in my first post.
ALT+F4 works to close the window but it also closes any other browser
windows until it reaches the extra-large window.
ALT-Space, C does much the same thing as ALT+F4, but it also closes any
other running apps before finally closing the big window.
I want to know if there is a way to close the extra-large window without
closing any others.
