Can I plug an Ultra 160 tape drive into an Ultra 320 cable and will it work?
I was under the impression they were backwards compatible and the connectots
the same, so assume it will but don't know enough about the standards to say
with certainty.
We have a Ultra 320 rack enclosure with an LT0 tape drive in (which is of
course an Ultra 320 device), but it has a spare bay and port and I wanted to
try and utilise it to run an old AIT drive we have (which is an Ultra 160
device).
This is all HP/Compaq kit by the way if that matters.
Thanks in advance
