I just installed any any time upgrade for home premiem to ultimate, and every
time i click on Windows Extras i get the windows update screen.

Is there any way of fixing this, i tried a clean install of windows again
and still the same.

The path of the shortcut is "%SystemRoot%\system32\Wuauclt.exe
/showwindowsupdate"

and it also loads windows update if i click on extras on the welcome screen?

and i have updated all windows updates and still nothing!!!

Thanks
Robert

That's what's supposed to happen. Any Ultimate Extras can be obtained
through windows update. I'm not sure why you're not getting the two UE that
are currently being offered through WU, though.

Here is a link to the Ultimate Extras web site, but you can't download them
from there, only through windows update.

I think some users are going to confuse "Ultimate Extras" on the
Start Menu as a folder where Ultimate Extras are stored.
More than likely, that's what the OP was doing.

I remember when I first started testing Vista Beta2 and I saw
that on the Start Menu, I thought clicking on it would take me to
some neato extra stuff. :-)

Yes, it isn't clear. And why the OP isn't getting them offered through
windows update now that he has upgraded to Ultimate is unclear. He used the
anytime upgrade. I don't know if that is the issue. Also, others have
posted only getting one of the two extras through WU. It is confusing.

I wonder if going into WU's settings and checking "Use Microsoft Update"
makes a difference?
