uk to us settings

ok so i have a computer that was set up using english uk settings. what id
like to do is change it so that it has english us settings.

whats happening is when i visit a website it tells me i have to be an
american to view their site, which i am but the setting on my ie are set to
uk.

how do i change that to make the website work.

Try this: Start, Settings, Control Panel, Regional Settings, then choose
"English (United States)"

i tried that i tried changing all setings in there to us

"English (United States)"

Try this: Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs, Windows Setup tab, choose
Multilanguage Support and see what's available there. If you see something
related to US you may be asked for the WIN install disk if you proceed.

Hi Mark,

The web site may be using reverse dns lookup to determine your country of
origin in which case you cannot tweak windows to fool it.

The only way is to use a US ISP. A hacker may know how fool the reverse dns
lookup or route through a US ISP.

ok the a friend said something like that. do you know of any programs to
fool it then. or anyone else?
