Hiiii all!! I hope someone can help me out here!!

My problem is I can only seem to get ONE (1) browser window to open. Just
one. Only one. No more. No less. When clicking on File; New; Window the
same window that is ALREADY open opens. I tried to use CTRL+N. Nadda.
Even clicking on a link. The window that is aready open changes to whatever
the link is.

I recently installed Norton's Internet Security 2005. I'm not sure if that
has anything to do with it or not. I'm at my wits end here! I hope it's
something simple.

I thank you in advance if someone could offer some advice!!

Go to Tools | Internet Options | Advanced.
Uncheck "Reuse windows for launching shortcuts".

Also, if you have Yahoo Companion, Google toolbar, MSN toolbar, a firewall,
Earthlink (or another pop-up blocker) My IE2 (a shell for IE) etc.
Yahoo Companion is a very common cause.

You'll have to turn off the feature that's blocking new windows or, perhaps,
uninstall the program (especially uninstall Yahoo Companion).

With some programs of this type, using Ctrl+click or Shift+click will allow
a new window.

If you're *sure* that another program isn't causing this, these links may
help.

Hi LilNavyGurl :-)

Norton 2005 has been known to cause some problems in IE. You might try
uninstalling it and see if that resolves the problem. If so, you should try
another AV.

How to safely remove Norton Products
http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPOR...33497f6e8a319ece88256ace0076cc02?OpenDocument
or
http://snipurl.com/90lo

To safely and fully uninstall the program, please review the following:

Follow the detailed "Removal Instructions", located near the bottom of this
Symantec page: :
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/backdoor.hackdefender.html
Norton products are notoriously difficult to uninstall cleanly but the steps
outlined here should do it this time.

AVG 7 Free works well, hoever, there are other free ones that also work
well:

Here is a 30 trial for F-Prot, a very good AV. Not free, but, reasonable:

If these steps do not resolve your problem, or you need help with the above,
please post back to this thread with the details and any error messages.

Hope this helps
