Hi All!
Does anybody knows is it possible to hibernate a computer with XPE if
it was booted from an USB drive? Now I'm working with the uDiskOnChip
(fixed, non-secure mode, it looks as an USB HDD, not as an USB stick in
this mode). Instead of hibernation my system shows an error 50
(0x00000032) "The request is not supported". But it hibernates well
from an usual HDD

Thanks.

alexnnr,

Can you install XP Pro and check the hibernation there?
Perhaps your XPe image doesn't have all the components included required for hibernation support.

Hello KM,

May be you haven't paid attention to the last phrase. I said that the
system hibernates normally when booted from an usual IDE HDD, but
refuses to hibernate when it's boot drive is an USB fixed disk. I heard
this problem exists for all USB storage, is it right? I want to know is
this problem unsoluble or not.

alexnnr,

In fact I did read that part but didn't think you're talking about the same XPe system. Sorry about that.
Well... actually I was just wondering if you can make it to work with XP Pro. If you can, easy to implement with XPe.

Sorry, can't be of much value here.
