Hi everyone,
When I try to save anything in my Udisk I get an error message saying,
" The directory or file cannot be created " The Udisk has more than half of
the memory free.
Please help me,
Thanks,
Pablo
No mention of the size of your udisk or the file system used on the drive.
If using one of the FAT files system, you may be running into a limitation
of the file system: maximum number of "entries" allowed in the root. Items
that have names that are 8 characters or less count as a single entry.
Items with longer names count as 2 or more. When the limit is reached,
"out of space" messages will occur even if there is physical space
seemingly available.
If storing items individually, try storing them in folders. May need to
remove a few files from the udisk first. Then create a folder or two. Move
items still on the udisk into the folders. Then copy the files that were
removed back on the disk - place them in folders as well.
Moving items into folders reduces the number of entries in the root - which
in turn will stop erroneous out of space names. NOTE: There are limitation
with NTFS but very unusual to bump into those as they are quite generous.

The manual may have specific troubleshooting steps for "cannot create"
messages. You should not need drivers for this device but I notice there
are firmware updates labeled for use with WinXP. Firmware is code stored in
the electronics of the udisk itself. Unfortunately no mention about what
problems those firmware updates address so can't recommend using or not
using these. You could call or send off an email to atechflash technical
support and ask for specifics.
