Checking the "event viewer" I see that every morning at startup ,I get this
same error reading.
The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load
UdfReadr_xp.<

After sending the error to Microsoft I get the following.
Same message a s above followed by > +%1< and then
Ask the person with administrative rights on your computer to
verify that the drivers in the list are not critical to your system's
operation.<

What does this mean? Computer works fine, but I am scared, that
one of these days, it will not start-up.

OS: Windows xp, with all the latest updates. Help greatly
appreciated. Phil

If you use Roxio's version 5 on XP, you have to be very careful to follow
their patch directions exactly. Typically, you install software and then
patch after patch - refusing the prompt to reboot until you have installed
the last patch.

Not sure if that scenario rings a bell with you but the error message
you're receiving is from the Roxio software package. Below is a link to an
article about CD burning in general by MVP Alex Nichol:
http://www.aumha.org/win5/a/xpcd.htm

This article contains a link to a zip file that contains a REG file that
will remove the inappropriate references in the registry:
http://www.aumha.org/downloads/cdgone.zip

The same registry keys that are removed by Alex' zip file are described in
this article from Microsoft:

STOP 0x7B Error After You Remove or Reinstall Roxio Easy CD Creator 5 Platinum Edition

Thanks Sharon, for setting me in the right direction. I have indeed Roxio
5.2.3.34 on my pc, but I didn`t update or change anything .
I will have a good look at your suggestions. Thanks again. Phil

Hello Sharon,

I have tried to solve the problem, by restoring the pc to a date, prior to
the start of the problem. Hopefully it is solved. Good day . Phil
