About ten days ago I first noticed a change in my computers performance.
When I started to play Zuma.exe I had to click "allow" in order to run it.
That was just a nuisance but when Disk Cleanup required it also that was too
much. I tried to delete Windows Defender (I have a working version of Bit
Defender) I was denied. HELP!

Windows Defender cannot be removed, only disabled. It's a default part of
the installation (though it can be uninstalled if this was an upgrade from
XP that had it installed prior). If zuma.exe is encountering a UAC prompt,
it's because the program is not virtualizing and is trying to write to a
protected system folder. The software vendor needs to rewrite the software
to comply with Vista's requirements. Disk Cleanup accesses system folders in
order to complete its function, the prompt would be normal.

You can't delete it. You can stop/disable it.

You can switch off UAC from the security center but it will switch internet
Protected mode off as well. There is a utility TweakUAC (google it) which
will give more options apparently. I havent tried it yet but was given the
information on this group.
 
Thanks, Spikey. The file Tweakuac worked fine on Disk Cleanup. On Zuma I now
have to right click on the file, click on properties and click "run as
adm..." I dont believe the problem is with the Zuma file. I ran it almost
daily for 18 months on this same computer with Vista Home Basic
and never had a bit of trouble.

I get the message "Windows cannot find 'secpol.msc'. when I try it in the
run box. Any ideas why??

Aha! I thought that was the problem, I'm using home premium. So it looks
like it will have to be TweakUAC for now.
 
Yup, I'm using Windows Home Basic and its 32 bit not 64 and :I wish I'd
never left Dos 3.3.
