Typing issues?

Hi there. I hope to find an answer to my problem. I have installed Windows
Vista Home Premium on my Gateway laptop recently and all seems to be working
well so far except I have problems typing. No matter what program I use,
AOL, Yahoo Messenger, Windows Live Messenger, etc., the cursor would move on
me to wherever the mouse pointer is sitting on the screen and act like I
left-cilicked the mouse, if it is hovering above something. Or if the
pointer is on my screen I am typing on it would just "jump" to it, causing me
to mis-type. Sometimes it would even highlight what I typed and make. It is
rather weird. I hope I described this understandably. I have checked all
over the web and I can't seem to find anything regarding this problem. Could
it be a mouse driver perhaps? I have a wireless Belkin mouse and a Synaptics
touchpad that is installed but I can't find anything that would cause my
issue. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I'd suggest you go off to the Gateway website and download and install any
and all Vista drivers that pertain to your particular model of notebook.

I forgot to mention I had already checked on Gateway's website with no luck.
They don't have ANYTHING regarding Vista. I guess it is just too soon to
starting using it. I should probably go back to XP until Vista matures more.
=-)
