Typed URL History

Gareth Evans

Every time I restart my PC it deletes the typed URL
history in IE.

Is there a setting which I can modify in the registry to
ensure that my URL history is retained?

I may have caused this problem myself when tweaking
Windows with various tweak programs such as Xteq which I
have installed so I wonder if this might override any
changes I make.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your suggestion. Unfortunately that checkbox
was not ticked. With that option enabled it empties the
temp file when you close the browser.

However, on my PC it only happens when you do a system
restart. So it's either deleting the history on log-off
or log-on, but all looks normal in IE settings, which is
why I may need to tweak the registry or delve a bit
deeper.

Any ideas welcome,

Gareth

Cheers for the suggestion, but that's also checked. It's
some setting somewhere which deletes the URL history on
every reboot.

TweakUI> Paranoia Tab? Xteq may have a similar option. Any other "privacy"
programs running?
