type text onto a scanned document

Open MS word to a blank page

Insert / Picture / from file

Click on the picture and resize it to whatever you want using the
handle on the bottom right hand corner

Insert / Text Box - click & drag where you want the text to appear on
top of your picture

Format / Text box

Under "Colors & Lines -
Select "No Fill" for Fill color
Select "No line" for line color

Enter your text - change font style font colour etc to what you want

Save / print the word doc
