"Type Mismatch" VB error when PowerPoint opens

Recently I started getting a "Type Mismatch" error with Visual Basic on the
message header when I launch PowerPoint 2003. I have to click OK to get
PowerPoint to open. This happens with any presentation or the application
only. I have no Macros, VB scripts or add-ins. I have all Office 2003
updates available from the Microsoft. Thanks for any help you can offer.
 
The Add-Ins windows is empty and there are no "Add-Ins Available". Thanks
for responding. TLH

In fact, every copy of PPT 2003 has at least some add-ins. They're just not
visible. Try this and let us know what it reports:

What add-ins are loaded?

To see if COM add-ins are loaded you need to do more.
1. Tools | Customize...
2. Switch to the Commands tab.
3. Under Catergories, select Tools.
4. Locate COM add-ins from the list adjacent list of commands.
5. Drag the COM-add-ins from the list to any appropriate toolbar.
6. Close the customize dialog
7. Click on the new COM add-ins button to launch the window.

Do you see any COM add-ins listed?

Problem solved. I uninstalled Articulate and the Type Mismatch error is
gone. Thanks for your help.
