hello to all

I am trying to fix up my company's web and I need help in two areas. I'm
quite new to FP. (they use FP 2000)

a) I want to add a single celled table to each page (760 px wide), then
dump each page's contents into the cell. This way I can easily control the
display width, centering, background page color, etc. We currently use a
Shared Border at the top of each page that shows the company's Name and logo.
But I can't get that shared border inside my single celled table. Should I
just copy the Name/logo to each page, or is there a way I can still use our
shared top border?

b) Is the general idea in FP to basically put everything in tables, then
nest tables in tables? Any comments? I find this works OK, but I don't know
if it is considered standard practice.

thank you in advance
Becky

"Standard" practice nowadays is to use a CSS layout, with tables only
used for tabular data, but nested tables (with reasonable levels of
nesting) are OK.

Convert the shared borders to include pages, and use the FrontPage
include page feature to make up the page.
See http://www.rxs-enterprises.org/tests/SB-to-IC.aspx for help with
this.
