Two weird keyboard failures back to back on WAN the same day

I had two keyboard failures that somehow fixed themselves.

First, the USB keyboard was not working on my Win7 desktop (though the mouse was), even after squirting compressed air into the keys and rebooting. Then, miraculously, after Microsoft ran a "System Repair" automatically (andfound nothing) the system fixed itself on reboot.

Then, turning on my laptop (connected to the same WAN), the laptop gave offa hideous continuous beep--very loud. I disconnected the USB external keyboard and quickly rebooted. Much to my relief it seems to have been a stuck key--as in a book was leaning against a certain key (though I can't reproduce the error).

Not to sound like Starbuck Flying, but all's well that ends well.

You are lucky to have an easy and short time to fix the two problems I
bought a keyboard from the Salvos for two dollars but before I tested to see
if it worked I pulled it apart and actually washed the keys then the
keyboard housing it was at a cold night so I had to wait some time for the
extra bits of water to dry in front of the 3 speed fan I have (just a fan
and not a heater) all together about two houres from start to putting it
back together but then I found I had a very clean great looking non working
keyboard but it does look good now but luck was on my side when I pluged it
in again to see if it would work after extra drying time about a days worth
and now I have a great looking working keyboard woo whooo!!
