Is it possible to have two users that are seperate entities on one computer. i am trying to work around not seeing what my wife installs and uses and her not seeing what I do. Problems arise as i don't want to see her email program ,or Merlin etc. when i am logged in and vice versa. i wouldn't mind installing the same software we have in common on each others side of the computer. I did try a boot manager but was not able to install xp to 2 hard drives in a master/ slave combination. I know there must be an answer.

Thanks

Control Panel > User Accounts and set up separate accounts.

I am only getting 2 options for accounts on this computer, admin and limited. In the help file it shows a standard account but I have to be on a domain. I am trying to figure that one out. Thanks for the reply

If you have XP Home, there are only two account types: administrator and
limited. If you want your wife to be able to install her software, she will
need an an admin account.

If you have XP Pro, right click My Computer and select Manage. You'll find
additional groups listed in the Local Users and Groups section: Admin and
Power User can install software. Power User has some restrictions detailed
in the help file.
