Hello
I have Windows Vista RC1 and two audio devices, one normal realtek audio
sound card and second usb device Linksys CIT200, everything is working OK.
But Vista install CIT200 as default audio devices, and I canno't listen music
form my speakers. Of curse I tried change default settings to Realtek, but
every time Vista load Linksys CIT200 as default (even when I change default
to Realtek).
Has anybody know what I must do, to put Relatek to defalut audio device?
Thank you very much for answer
You must be using the Skype cordless phone. I have it installed
on a WinXP Pro computer downstairs- love it, works great.
Try this:
Linksys CIT200 USB Cordless Phone for Skype (64-Bit). Will require downloading the latest
driver here [[1]].

Once downloaded, extract your language installation of choice, save it to another location
(same folder), RIGHT CLICK on file, LEFT CLICK on PROPERTIES, LEFT CLICK on COMPATIBILITY TAB,
run as XP SP2 and the click OK. The, RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR, install application and then connect
CIT200. Go to the following directory (folder) C:\Program Files (x86)\Linksys\CIT200\ and then
RIGHT CLICK on the following executable, cit200.exe, then LEFT CLICK on PROPERTIES, LEFT CLICK
on COMPATIBILITY TAB, run as XP SP2 and the click OK. Now, go to CONTROL PANEL, HARDWARE and
SOUND, under Audio Devices and Sound Themes, LEFT CLICK on MANAGE AUDIO DEVICES. Right click on
your STANDARD SPEAKERS and set them for the DEFAULT FOR ALL USES. Then RIGHT CLICK your CIT200
Speakers and set it for DEFAULT for COMMUNICATIONS. RIGHT CLICK once again on CIT200 Speakers
to access the Properties, click on the OPTIONS TAB and UNCHECK "Allow applications to take
exclusive control of this device" and then click OK. Do the same for the CIT200 under
MICROPHONE. Launch CIT200 software on Desktop and Skype will automatically start. Log in, and
then adjust under Skype, TOOLS, OPTIONS, SOUIND DEVICES and set the CIT200 for you Audio
In/Out.
