Hi .

Today , I noticed two scratches on my HP 1730 LCD monitor , that didn't
appear
when I bought the screen in August 2nd :

these 2 scratches look like two vertical medium-sized lines ,
where the spectrum colors appear from within them .

What should I do ? it seems these are real scratches , and can't be
repaired .
I think the only thing I can do is to replace the monitor .

What do you suggest ?

Thanks in advance ,
Lior .

You're right, if they aren't real scratches you might be
able to repair them but if they are real you can't.

Live with it or replace it. Not knowing how bad they are
it's hard to say if trying to fix would make matters worse
but there's a good chance this is the case. The typical way
to try to fix scratches is with a clear filler like wax or
acrylic or polishing them out. I can't recommend any of
these methods since I can't see monitor and as mentioned,
the result might be worse than two scratches.
