two scanners

Hi all,

Any known problems of installing two scanners to the XP?

I've tried to install a Fujitsu scanner M3093DG (SCSI) and a HP OfficeJet Pro 1170C (USB). The installation are OK but failed to make them work properly - seems to work a little while but later on giving out error message "Twain driver v.9.11.032.0, the specified image scanner is being used, code : DS41005" with a number of prints, first time printing is OK.

I'd tried to re-install the two again, but without any help.

Any hints?

As an ordinary user I can confirm that XP does not take too kindly to having two or more USB scanners active at a time . I believe the same applies to two or more SCSI scanners. You have come up with a different configuration which is causing the same kind of problem.
Suggested workaround. To use the SCSI scanner first disconnect the USB connection to the USB scanner. It will then be invisible to the system and the SCSI scanner should then work, most likely without having to reboot.
To use the USB scanner try disabling the SCSI scanner via device manager and then remake the USB connection.

I have 1 scanner on a paralell port and 1 scanner on firewire. (WinXP).
No probs.
