Anyone help out here, I've got two questions that I'm researching for
answers. Here they are:

1. Drive is assigned in the user account profile in AD, but when the
user logs in the drive is not there. What steps should be taken to get
the drive back for them?

2. A systems admin has manually set a lot of permissions in AD and
these groups are compeletly out of date. What would be the best method
to fix all of the outdated groups and permissions in AD?

Thanks for any help.

Remap it and use the /persistent switch explicitly OR, more reliable,
build a batch file and make sure it is connected each time.

Hmmm, "best method"?

not sure.

In the profile? You mean a logon batch to run or is it the Home folder
setting?

Look for a script from http://cwashington.netreach.net that will enumerate
groups and what accounts belong in them. I can't remember the name of the
script, but I think it was 'groups.vbs', but the specific script I am
thinking of will put the results into a CSV file. Open it up in Excel and
from that YOU will need to determine what is current or outdated and make
the necessary adjustments manually or programmatically (another script to
delete them, or just do it manually).

Thanks for any help.
