When I send an e-mail with a pic. the reciever gets not one but TWO copies of the the mail and pic. ............it's sending a duplicate. This only happens when a pic is sent with the e mail
I'm on XP pro and Outlook Express

Do you see two copies in your Sent Items folder?

The problem may be on the recipients end:

==================================
==================================
Why does OE show duplicate messages in my
Hotmail or IMAP account?
That can happen if your Hotmail or IMAP account

is the default mail account and OE is configured

to both open directly to the Inbox (which downloads

headers automatically) and check for new messages

when starting (which also downloads headers

automatically). To stop the duplicates, simply

choose one option or the other, but not both.

Click Tools | Options, then remove the check

mark for "When starting, go directly to my 'Inbox'

folder" OR the check mark for "Send and receive

messages at startup". If you already have duplicates

showing, click Tools | Synchronize Account or

Synchronize All.

The two pics. appear to anyone I send one pic. to, it shows only one in my 'sent items' though
thanks
Frank.

Just to add to the above, it doesn't send two pics. everytime..............occasionally it will send just one
I've unchecked the 'send and recieve messages at startup' and it's still sending two pics. (but not everytime as I've said) yet showing only one sent in my sent items
thanks.

The point I'm trying to make is the problem
may be on the recipient's end.

Send the messages to yourself and see if
you receive two copies.

Also it may be worth a try to post your message
in the outlook express newsgroup:
