Two "Personal Folders" in my "Folder List"

I'm running Outlook 2000. The first pst (mailbox.pst) was created under
Outlook 2003 but appears to include contacts imported for Outlook 2000. I've
massaged this file while under 2003 by moving a lot of contacts into the BCM
file which, of course, no longer appear here. The 2000 pst doesn't contain
what I'm looking for so, using "File| Open", I loaded another file. That
file now appears in the Folder List beneath the first but, although it
contains the contacts I am looking for, they don't come up when I highlight
that second pst and type what I'm after in the Search window. Outlook 2000
isn't fully recognizing that second pst. It lets me maneuver around,
allowing me to see old mail and calendar entries. I can even see the contact
I want when I change the view to "Categories". I simply can't pull that or
any contact from the file. The program is locked onto the first pst with
respect to searching for contacts.

I'd like to understand why this is occurring and what I can do to resolve
it. Would appreciate any help anyone can give.

Your post is both confusing and inaccurate. Try to describe what you mean
more accurately and clearly, please. For starters:
1. A PST file created in Outlook 2003 could not even be opened in Outlook
2000.
2. You did not specify which version of Outlook 2000 you are using:
Corp/Workgroup or Internet Mail Only.
3. What is your real question? The answer as to why you have two Personal
Folders files seems obvious. You opened two Personal Folders files in this
profile.

If you want the Contacts in the non-default PST file to be included in your
searches, enable that Contacts folder as an email address book in its
properties.

Apparently you're pretty good at cipherin', Russ. You answered the question
in your last paragraph. Thanks.
