two OS

I'm using XP PRO, on one hard drive, and I just bought a
second hard drive it's all formatted, can someone y=tell
me how I can load 2000 PRO onto the second hard dive, I'm
not have any luck.

You boot from the cdom with the W2K install disk and follow instructions
until you get to the point that setup notices you already have an operating
system installed at which time you have to choose to install W2K in a
different partion that you should be able to select your second drive.
Normally you want to install the older operating system first or you will
have problems booting up the newer operating system [XP in your case],
because the ntldr and ntdect.com files from W2K are not compatible with XP
[see second KB link], so you will have to have a plan to replace those but
you should be able to get both working in a dual boot configuration. Save
the current ntldr and ntdetec.com in the root folder [hidden by default] to
a backup folder so that you can copy them back to the root folder after you
get W2K installed. --- Steve
