Hi my problem may seem minor but I can't rest until it's
gone , basicly I had my network running smoothly until I
decided to add to my computer an additional ethernet card.
right now I have:

Connection 1: 3COM ethernet connected to my network hub
Connection 2: Realtek crossover to my printer (it's a big
Xerox printer with RJ 45 connection)

The problem:
When both connection are enabled connection 1 will not
work. When I disable 2, connection 1 works.

I don't maybe there is some logic in this I just dont see
it anyhow I would like to thatnk you in advance for trying
to help....

I had that way before but the files I had to print were
over 600 MB, so instead of transfering files to printer
through the network I wanted to save time and direct
connect it to computer, which actually is much faster.

Then you are going to have to make sure all the settings for both cards
are correct. try setting the IP address for the "printer" NIC to an
address with a different subnet. if you are using 192.168.1.1
255.255.255.0 for the network put the printer link at 192.168.2.1

Yup,
First I changed the IP of the card nothing happened,
then I thought that if I do the same change on the printer
I may get somewhere. It works now.
Thanks a lot for the tip

Yes, that should keep the poor box from being confused about what "wire"
has what resource on it.
