Two issues: Won't open .wmv, .wma, .avi files and crashes...

First: When I attempt to import a .wmv, .wma, .avi I get "[file] cannot be
imported because the codec required to play the file is not installed on your
computer" and it will not give me either an error code or the option for web
help, so I don't even know what the issue is. I'm not sure if it does this
with all other media types, because I don't really have files of other media
types, but it *will* import .mp3.

Second: Whenever I attempt to make an audio or music file (simply by
importing a song and saving it without any added video), MM crashes. It does
this just at the first part, where one is choosing the name and the save
location for the file, not even the format.

Any suggestions for remedies?
